ST. AUGUSTINES STEWARDS FUND

Members of the congregation who would like to make a regular financial commitment are invited to join the Stewards' Fund. Your pledge enables the Vestry to plan a responsible budget for the coming year. The Stewards' Fund is the cornerstone of our Parish budget, currently providing over 75% of our annual budget income.

Many people prefer to make these payments through a standing order with their bank. These can be set up easily with all German banks. This enables you to keep a record of your donations and removes the need to find change for the collection each week. Alternatively, for those who do not have an account with a German bank, or who prefer to make donations in cash, weekly envelopes can be obtained from our Parish Treasurer. These are numbered with a unique reference to maintain confidentiality.

Tax statements will be issued annually by the Parish Treasurer to all Stewards? Fund members for income tax purposes.

If you are paying German Taxes on your income, a Church Tax is taken as part of tax deduction from your pay. Since St. Augustine's receives no church tax allotment from the German Government, if you are a contributing member you can have that Church tax deduction stopped. For further information on how to accomplish this, please contact the Church office. The generous giving of our members along with income from fund-raisers is our only way of financing our ministry in Christ's name.
