TAMI JANTZI

A native of Oregon USA, Tami Jantzi grew up on a rye grass farm near Corvallis. The first American to receive the prestigious Sir Georg Solti Foundation Award, the young soprano has fast become a sought-after soloist in recital, concert and opera performances throughout the United States and Europe. In 2000 Ms. Jantzi made her U.S. concert debut at the Ravinia International Music Festival singing Bernstein's La Bonne Cuisine. Later that year came her European debut with a concert and recording, produced by "Cedille" records, of Vor?seks Mass in B-flat with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Other concert highlights include Bachs Magnificat in D with the Leipzig Chamber Orchestra, Mozarts Mass in C, Bruckner's Te Deum, and Schoenbergs Moses und Aaron with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Pergolesi|s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi|s Gloria and Bach's Weihnachtsoratorium with the Festival Orchestra of St. Paul. Her opera experience includes I Capuletti e i Montecchi, Le nozze di Figaro, Werther, Carmen, Dido and Aneas, Britten's Canticle II. A recent highlight for Ms. Jantzi was being featured by the Chicago Chapter of the Friends of the Solti Foundation in recital with bass Samuel Ramey. Maestri have included Daniel Barenboim, Christoph Eschenbach, Peter Schreier, Carlos Kalmar and Francesco Miliotto. Tami is currently a student of Ms. Rosanna Rocca in Darmstadt.


Als erste US-Amerikanerin die den renommierten F?rderpreis der Solti Foundation erhielt, ist die Sopranistin Tami Jantzi schnell zu einer gefragten Solisten f?r Lieder-abende, Opern und Konzertveranstaltungen in den USA und Europa avanciert. Im Jahre 200 feierte Frau Jantzi ihr Konzertdeb?t in den Vereinigten Staaten beim Ravinia International Music Festival, wo sie Bernsteins La Bonne Cuisine auff?hrte, begleitet von Elizabeth Buccheri am Klavier. Im gleichen Jahr folgte auch ihr europ?isches Deb?t, als sie mit dem Tschechischen National-Sinfonieorchester auftrat und eine Aufnahme von Vor?seks Messe in B beim Musikverlag "Cedille" produzierte. Weitere Erfolge feierte sie mit Bachs Magnificat in D mit dem Leipziger Kammerorchester, Mozarts Messe in C-Dur, Bruckners Te Deum, Sch?nbergs Moses und Aaron mit dem Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Pergolesis Stabat Mater, Vivaldis Gloria und Bachs Weihnachtsoratorium mit dem Kammerorchester von St. Paul. Zu ihren Opernauff?hrungen z?hlen u.a. I Capuletti e i Montecchi, Le nozze di Figaro, Werther, Carmen, Brittens Canticle II. Eine H?hepunkt feierte Frau Jantzi im M?rz letzten Jahre bei einer Konzert-Veranstaltung der Chicago Chapter of The Friends of the Solti Foundation, als sie zusammen mit dem Bass Samuel Ramey auftrat.
