A sudden snowstorm kept all but the diehard music aficionados home from this exquisite concert of rarely heard piano trios composed by women. The tempestuous trio by Fanny Mendelssohn revealed the composer's frustration at having to live in the shadow of her famous brother, Felix. * You may have asked yourself what the connection is between "Rockmusik" and Women Composers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The German title is a pun! The German word for "skirt" is "Rock", thus "Rockmusik" is composed by the gender that often wears skirts!
