INQUIRERS' PROGRAM AND CONFIRMATION CLASSES


Inquirers' Program


An inquirer is someone who wants to know more about the Anglican / Episcopal tradition. There are topics for 6 sessions that will help acquaint you with the Anglican /Episcopal Tradition. The topics for discussion include:

  • Structures of the Episcopal Church and Orders of Ministry
  • Church History and the Foundations of Anglican Theology
  • Symbolism and Liturgical Colors
  • The Book of Common Prayer and the Hymnal
  • The Bible
  • Sharing Christ's love through service in the world

    Confirmation Classes

    A confirmand is someone who wants formally to confirm the promises of Holy Baptism in the presence of the Bishop. If one has already been confirmed in another Christian tradition, one may be received into the Episcopal Church by the Bishop at his visitation. Confirmation classes include all of the inquirers? sessions above and using the curriculum "I will, with God?s help".
