MINISTRY
AND ACTIVITIES
WELCOME!
If you are interested in learning more about these activities, please contact the Church Office
SERVICES
Sundays,
10.00 am
Holy Eucharist, Sunday School
The
groups which support the weekly services are: Altar Guild, Acolytes, Eucharistic Ministers, Flower Guild, Ushers and Readers.
SUNDAY
SCHOOL
Sunday school
is held every Sunday during the first part of the service and is for all
children of 3 and older. We hear Bible stories, do crafts, sing songs,
have a feast and pray together, using Godly Play.
COFFEE
HOUR
After
the Sunday service each week everyone is invited to the coffee hour for
delicious cake and coffee/tea/juice. These are provided each week by volunteer members of the congregation.
CHOIR
St
Augustine's has an active choir, led by Choir Director Ivan Williams. Choir
rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7pm. Anyone interested
in joining the choir should contact the Choir Director via the Church Office. We welcome all enthusiastic voices!
HOME
GROUPS
St Augustine's
home groups are small, geographically determined groups which meet once every two weeks
for fellowship, study and prayer. Would you like a home group in your neighbourhood?
ALTAR
GUILD
Under the direction of our Rector, the members of the
guild are responsible for preparing the altar for church worship services,
including care of the sacristy, linens, vestments,
sacred vessels and candles. If you would like to know more about joining
this "silent ministry", please contact
the Church Office.
CHURCH
FLOWERS
Sponsoring the
altar flowers is always a beautiful way to express your thanksgiving,
remembrance, and praise. The floral loveliness created by Flower Guild
members is shared with everyone at St Augustine's on Sunday morning.
Simply write your name on the list on the notice
board at the back of the church, put the standard contribution (€30)
into a labelled envelope and place it in the offertory plate.
NEARLY
NEW SALE
Each
month there is a Nearly New Sale in the Church undercroft, usually from
9.00am to 1pm on the second Wednesday of the month. Donations for this
sale are always welcome and we gladly accept used clothes in good condition, household goods and toys as well as volunteers to help with the setup and sale.
CHRISTMAS
BAZAAR
This
is the biggest fund-raiser of the year and a wonderful opportunity to
buy some very special Christmas presents whilst supporting a good cause.
Anyone wishing to become involved with the bazaar, please contact the
Church Office.

in the congregation and is available on the website.

The goal of the Endowment Fund is to enhance the financial stability
of St Augustine's in order to provide the parish with the necessary
fiscal resources needed for capital improvements and programme expansion.
We seek to accomplish this goal through a prudent programme of
investments and savings. Donations to the Endowment Fund
are most welcome. For further information, please contact the
Church Office.
FINE ARTS
The Fine Arts Committee at St. Augustine's consists of a dedicated
group of church members who organise events such as concerts, plays, and
art exhibitions in order to open the church to the Wiesbaden community
and provide a venue that is affordable and welcoming to both artists
and audiences.
Fine Arts duties include planning and advertising
programmes, providing and selling refreshments at events. New members
always welcome!
